Artist Information for Peggy Brown
I approach my art quilts from the viewpoint of a watercolor artist. Using the same medium (transparent watercolor) and methods I have used for years when painting on paper, I design an abstract image that appears on, above and below the surface of the art quilt. My goal is to take a free flowing start and by adding collage and overlays of more paint compose a well-designed, unique painting on fabric.
